Yes, I know we all want to earn more money.
But, if an Affiliate Marketer is more driven by money, that Affiliate Marketer may be putting more of his efforts behind the promotion of a program instead of a product.
Working to get as many affiliates as earthly possible to sign up with a high-commission program, like maybe you just did, is not only more difficult and time-consuming, but it’s going about things all wrong.
You are more likely to be successful (and earn more money!) if you put your efforts behind a good quality product or service that interests you and that you believe in.
Don’t let money be the ruling factor in what product you promote.
Promoting a good product is much easier to sell as an Affiliate Marketer than promoting a product that may not be so great but has an affiliate program paying higher commissions.
If it’s not a good quality product, no amount of promoting will make it pay in the long run.
And you really don’t want to risk associating yourself with a poor product just to hopefully cash in on its “high-paying”program!

If you are using Google Adsense, you know that your website’s (or blog site’s) Content is what Google searches through.
Google then displays ads, furnished by webmasters enrolled in Google’s advertising program, on your site. Those ads on your site are chosen based on their relevancy to your Content.
The better your Content is the better results you will have from visitors to your site who then go on to click on the ads displayed by Google Adsense.
Essentially, Google is rewarding you with a commission each time a visitor to your site clicks on an ad that Google placed on your site!
You can see that your site’s Content deserves a lot of your attention to keep it informative and always targeted to your audience.
Monetizing your site with Google Adsense can be a great way for you to earn money if your Content brings forth visitors!

Setting up a blog is not a difficult task any more. Just recently, blogging was viewed simply as a hobby or past-time mainly for the citizenry. But, blogging has transformed over the last one to two years into a wildly popular media tool used by individual entrepreneurs to huge corporations. It’s not just for the “common people” any more!
For those of us in the one-person, small business side of the blogosphere, it is almost an expected feature of your business to have a blog site in addition to your website. Many small businesses operate exclusively from their blog site. Expanding a blog to custom fit a business has set off a whole world of unlimited money-making opportunities for those who want to take part in all the marketing possibilities available.
Step by step, there is a lot to learn and a lot offered through a good blog site. As an entrepreneur, you can learn how to make a substantial living exclusively with a blog.
Affiliate marketing is an excellent use of your blog. Promotion of your affiliates on your blog will help you generate revenue from advertising networks, such as Google Adsense, when visitors to your blog click and purchase through links displayed on your blog.
There is a lot to learn about the power potential of a good blog site!

Watch out for some of those smiling faces you might see standing in front of a McMansion with a fast, luxury laden car nearby and an elegant pool sparkling away in the background. Oh, and don’t forget that glass of wine he or she may be holding up for you to drool over.
The promises are hurled out to you that you can have all this, too! All you have to do is . . . . . . .blah, blah, blah!
We’re all pretty smart here, aren’t we? In case you are tempted to think otherwise, nothing is as easy and as quick to achieve as the instant (or near instant!) riches some of these merchants are trying to pitch to us all.
Let’s not kid ourselves, OK?! Getting success to roll your way with your internet marketing business takes a lot of hard work and a lot of persistence over a fair amount of time.
Honestly, though, we all know this to be true already. But temptations to look and listen, and even to buy, are always lurking.
Beware – those smiling faces! They don’t tell the truth – as the song says!

We focus heavily on getting traffic. Big traffic numbers obviously increase your chances in making sales. But once you get a customer, it is he who must be taken care of and respected. We’ve heard forever “the customer is always right”. Even when he is not quite right, he has to be handled in a way that does not disrespect him. Yes, you are bending over backwards for a customer who may not really deserve that kind of gracious treatment, but you need to do what you can to make each customer happy with you.
If a customer pays for something and you email him that he has to wait maybe 2 days before you can get back to responding to his email request for downloading help, he won’t be happy. Don’t make a customer wait. Go to any length to solve his problem or at least do what you can and apologize for inconveniencing him. Ask how you can help him further and just state outright that you value him as a customer. Make it clear that you want him to be happy with you and your product.
Valuing and respecting your customers is vital in order to stay in business – whether as an internet marketer or as an offline business or store. If customers aren’t happy with you, that information can easily become well known and your long-time success will be doomed. The opposite is true, too. If your customer service is great, your reputation will bring you long-lasting repeat customers.
Take care of your customers and they will be taking care of you as well!

Starting out in internet marketing, we hear all the things you can or should do:
- Get a website or go without a website is ok too.
- Use eBay to start your affiliate marketing.
- Using Master Resell Rights if you can’t write.
- Create and sell your own ebook if you can write.
- Join forums and networks, subscribe to newsletters, and subscribe to blogs to visit and leave a comment or two with your name and email address with maybe a link to your website – if you have one.
You have no website, no product, and do not want to write. So what do you do?
Look into buying Master Resell Rights in subject areas you are very familiar with and have some enthusiastic interest in.
Buying a product with Master Resell Rights allows you to sell someone else’s product that they created – usually an information product such as an ebook. You didn’t write it, but you purchased the right to sell it!
Website? – your don’t need a website with eBay, for example. Selling on eBay is quickly learned, requiring little time and little money. Check eBay’s website and all the tools they provide on how to get your product listed and online. Find out how sellers list their product, the price ranges, and how your product category stands out in popularity.
Then go back and dig more into eBay. Put some time into learning how buying and selling on eBay works so that you know your way around.
Keep the learning process going, though. So much can be picked up by joining forums and subscribing to newsletters and blogs.
If you want ideas and tips, (and we all do!), you’ll find them all around you, if you keep thinking and keep working at your new business step by step.
Till next time,
Jackie

Do you sometimes delay starting in on things, like that Affiliate Marketing business that you bought into a while back? Not surprisingly, most of us do delay our starting, because we “want to read and study more first”. You know what I mean – get more knowledge into personal storage, in order to ensure things go smoothly – once we do get started.
There is no perfect time.
Waiting, putting your start-up on hold until things look better and you’re more confident, is just plain procrastinating! It’s just simply Fear that is holding you back.
Most of us do hold back, though, and it’s best to face up to it without further delay. We will never learn enough to completely prevent problems, and yes, even failures from occurring. Once we all understand that one fact, we need to get going once and for all.
We do know enough to go ahead and start things rolling even on a small scale. The learning will definitely continue non-stop every day. Keep moving forward and accomplishing something every day towards your goals. Even a small step in a day is still moving forward.
Just don’t stand still, whatever you do. If you stand still too long, you just might stop!

Not to imply that there are loads of crooks in the ranks of product merchants and affiliate marketers too, but, as we know, there are always some creeping around in the maze of networks.
So, be sure to do your due diligence and look into:
- The reputation of the merchant.
- What negative postings might exist. Be careful, though, because some people post just to do harm to others.
- The commission/payments policies.
- The security and privacy protections.
- The look and professionalism of the merchant’s website.
- The various ways of contact for reaching the merchant’s operations.
In other words, trouble exists in all areas in the world of the internet, so we all must take all the steps necessary to keep our associations as clean as we can. And that means doing some homework before signing up for someone’s affiliate program.

Affiliate marketing is simply a selling arrangement between the owner of a product and a “salesperson”, i.e. an Affiliate Marketer. But, whereas, the owner would be one person, one group or a corporation, the affiliate marketer is one of potentially hundreds or even thousands of “salespeople.” These affiliate marketers make up the sales force for whichever merchant’s product they are promoting. Each affiliate marketer would earn a commission, as his compensation, on the sale of the product or service they are promoting. This promoting by the affiliate marketer would take place over the internet, on the website of the affiliate marketer or through an email campaign, a newsletter subscription, or through the recommendation of another affiliate marketer and his website.
To get into Affiliate Marketing you can start out on a small scale. Look into the thousands of digital products displayed on Clickbank. Clickbank is a massive affiliate network and it is free for you to research through its merchant categories and its policies. Another great affiliate program to check into is eBay itself! Also, Amazon.com has become a major source of affiliate marketing opportunities offering wide-ranging tools and support for affiliate members in its Associates Program.
Use Google for further research. Check into AssociatePrograms.com for additional merchant program listings.
Make sure you have the requirements taken care of before you sign up for a program. Be sure you check into all the policy details, too. All information is available through FAQ and Help menus. So, do your research first!
But, remember, this can an easy way to become involved in internet marketing – promote someone else’s product and get paid a commission on its sale as an Affiliate Marketer!
